![]() ![]() I did it to help me memorize scripture and it works. I have really big mirrors in my bathrooms that I sometimes write on with dry erase markers.Remember to read it aloud whenever you see it and you are well on your way to memorizing it. ![]() This is particularly helpful if you are trying to memorize a verse. Then put it on your bathroom mirror or your computer monitor or another conspicuous place. Take an index card or a post it note and copy a Scripture verse on it. This last idea is one you can implement in less than five minutes. I have never done this personally, but it’s something you can look into. Please share pics so the rest of us can get inspired! What a lovely way to decorate your home! Some families have also used wall decals. Some of you may have done something similar. ![]() It looks amazing! I’m so sorry that I don’t have a pic to give you an idea, but maybe she would be willing to share one with us. My sister has an artistic friend that painted verses up by the ceiling where you would normally hang a wallpaper border. If you would like to put Scripture in your home in a more permanent way, you could consider painting Scripture right on your walls. It has hung outside my front door for several years now. She gave me a laminated bookmark with the Ten commandments written on it. My mother came up with a simple and effective way to post Scripture on the doorpost. It is a great way to identify yourself as a Torah believer, but it doesn’t do a great job at reminding you of Scripture as you walk through the door. It is usually hung on the doorframe of a Jewish or Torah observant home. Use a bookmarkĪ mezuzah is a small box containing Scripture inside. Now, let’s talk about a few ways to write Scripture on the doorposts of our house. Simply writing Scripture is a very effective way of “binding His Words on our hands.” Click here to see the journal I use. I have also developed the habit of reading back through my journal and meditating on the verses once again. Not only am I starting my day with Scripture, but I find myself thinking on it more than if I just read it. This has been such a tremendous help to me. I hope you believe that.I have been Bible journaling, which consists of copying Scripture into a journal everyday. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2)? He is at this moment, preparing a place for you. The disciples were troubled that Jesus was going away, but He promised them, and I believe He promises us, that “In my Father’s house are many rooms. Remember, God is the God of the living and not the dead (Luke 20:38). That’s because Jesus has resurrection power over death, so even if we die, we will live again. He said this right after Lazarus had died, but Martha knew enough theology that Lazarus would rise again on the last Great Day. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). Jesus told Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Even Dying, We Shall Live Again – John 11 and Luke 20 I think that covers it! There is no way a believer can be separated from God…even by death. Paul was certain “that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). Whoever trusts in God, will never be separated from Him. Elderly residents in nursing homes might fear God has left them or when the elderly lose their capacity to think correctly, it doesn’t matter…God will not forsake them, even into old age (Isaiah 46:4). Never Forsaken – Hebrews 13 and Isaiah 46Įveryone else may forsake us, but the Lord never will…even into old age, as Scripture says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). ![]() Things like pain, suffering, mourning, and death will finally end someday, and for me, it can’t come soon enough. The day is coming when death shall be no more, as the Bible says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). Here are 5 short stories from Scripture about Tombstones in the Bible The Death of Death – Revelation 21 ![]()
